Grant of Probate/ Administration

This involves the extraction of a Grant of Probate where there is a Will and the taking out a Grant of Administration where someone dies without a Will.

There are a number of procedural requirements and the system is regulated by the Principle Probate Office.

Should you have been appointed as an executor or be the person entitled to administrate the estate on intestacy we would suggest that you collect the following documentation and then telephone our offices for an appointment where we will be happy to take your instructions:

1. Original Will or copy (if available)
2. Original Death Certificate or Medical Certificate as to cause of death
3. Details of the deceased assets to include property(s), bank or credit union accounts, share certificates, pension and/or death in service information, life policies, credit card information, details of any loans or mortgages, PPS number, a recent pay slip if appropriate and any further financial documentation.
